Malaysian Food Recipes
Malaysian food recipes and Malay cuisine shares much with Indonesian dishes. This includes some of the regional food traditions of Sumatra. Long influenced by Chinese, Indian, Thai cultures throughout history, its evolved into a distinct Malaysian cuisine. Many dishes incorporate Rempah, a spice paste or mix similar to Indian Masala. Rempahs are made by grinding up fresh and/or dried spices and herbs to create a paste which is then sauteed in oil to bring out the aromas.
Sarawak has a distinct cuisine to peninsula Malaysia, some Malaysian food recipes and dishes are part of the traditional cuisine of the natives, while some are influenced by either Chinese or Indian cuisine.
